Michell Web Studio – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all website design and related services provided by Michell Web Studio. By engaging Michell Web Studio for any service, the client agrees to the terms outlined below.

1. Services

Michell Web Studio provides website design, development, and maintenance services. The scope of work for each project will be discussed and agreed upon before the project begins. Any additional work requested outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional charges.

2. Project Timeline

  • The minimum development period for a website is two (2) weeks.
  • Larger or more complex projects may require additional time.
  • Timelines are estimates and may change depending on client responsiveness, content delivery, and project complexity.

3. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide all required content (text, images, logos, and information) in a timely manner.
  • Review work provided and give feedback within a reasonable time.
  • Ensure that all content supplied is legally owned or licensed for use.

Delays in providing content or feedback may result in extended project timelines.

4. Payments

  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • A deposit may be required before work begins.
  • Full payment must be made upon project completion and before the website is handed over or made live.
  • Payments are non-refundable once work has commenced.

5. Revisions

  • Each package includes reasonable revisions during the development phase.
  • Major changes or redesigns after approval may be charged additionally.

6. Maintenance & Support

  • Optional website maintenance is available at R200 per month.
  • Maintenance includes minor updates, content changes, and bug fixes.
  • Maintenance does not include major redesigns or new features unless agreed upon separately.

7. Hosting & Domains

  • Michell Web Studio may assist with hosting and domain setup if requested.
  • Domain registration and hosting fees are the responsibility of the client.
  • Michell Web Studio is not responsible for service interruptions caused by third-party hosting providers.

8. Ownership & Rights

  • Upon full payment, the client owns the final website content and design.
  • Michell Web Studio retains the right to display completed projects in its portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

9. Cancellations

  • If the client cancels a project after work has started, payments made are non-refundable.
  • If Michell Web Studio is unable to complete the project due to unforeseen circumstances, a fair refund will be discussed.

10. Limitation of Liability

Michell Web Studio shall not be held liable for:

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
  • Issues arising from third-party services, plugins, or hosting providers.
  • Website downtime beyond its control.

11. Amendments

Michell Web Studio reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with Michell Web Studio's services, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
